Information you give us through the contact form
The contact form asks for your name, your email address, a topic and a message. When you send the form, this information is emailed to the site owner. We use it only to read your message, reply to you and, if you reported a problem, to fix it.
We do not sell your details, and we do not use them for marketing. We do not add you to any mailing list.
The calculators
Every calculator on this site runs in your web browser. The values you type are used on your device to work out the result. They are not sent to our server, they are not sent to any third party, and they are not stored. When you close or reload the page, they are gone.
Server logs and hosting
Like most websites, the web host that runs this site keeps standard server logs. These usually record technical details of each request, such as the IP address, the date and time, the page requested and the type of browser. Hosts use them to keep the service secure and working. We do not use these logs to identify individual visitors, and the host’s own policy governs how long it keeps them.
Caching
The site uses a caching plugin to make pages load faster. Caching stores copies of pages so they can be delivered quickly. It is a performance tool and it is not used to track you.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
At the moment the site does not use analytics and does not show advertising. We do not use cookies for analytics or advertising.
In the future we may add analytics, to see which pages are useful, or advertising such as Google AdSense, to help cover costs. If we do, we will update this policy first, before those services go live, and explain what they collect and what choices you have.
How long we keep your messages
Messages sent through the contact form are kept in the site owner’s email inbox. We keep them for as long as we need to reply and to follow up on any correction. Messages are deleted when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask what information we hold about you, and you can ask us to delete it. To do this, use the Contact form and tell us what you would like. Please use the same email address you used before, so we can find your message. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law, and you can contact your local data protection authority if you have a concern.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please tell us through the contact form and we will delete it.
Third-party links
Some pages may mention or link to other websites, for example a marketplace’s fee page. We do not control those sites, and this policy does not cover them. Please read their policies.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the site and the messages sent through it. No website or email can be made completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not put sensitive personal information, such as financial details or passwords, into the contact form.
